Dr. Michael Wesch “Human Futures for Technology and Education”
Michael Wesch kicks off the Summit with a multi-media presentation featuring his award winning videos. An engaging and provocative speaker, Dr. Wesch explores the impact of digital technologies on human interaction and education, challenging us to rethink how we teach, what we teach, and to whom we are teaching.

Dr. Michael Wesch is a cultural anthropologist and media ecologist exploring the impacts of new media on human interaction and education. He has won several awards for his work with video, including a Wired Magazine Rave Award and the John Culkin Award for Outstanding Media Praxis from the Media Ecology Association. An award-winning teacher as well, Dr. Wesch is active in the development of innovative teaching techniques.
