About the IT Symposium
Minnesota’s Premier IT Conference and Longest Running Public Sector IT Event in U.S! Celebrating its 29th anniversary, the Minnesota Government IT Symposium is the premier IT event for Minnesota’s public sector and the largest and longest running statewide IT event for government in the entire United States. Over the course of three days, it provides up-to-date education, information and resources on the latest developments in IT by offering an assortment of learning opportunities to meet the diverse needs of its attendees, including: Full Day Seminars (Tuesday, Dec. 7) skill building opportunities that offer an in-depth exploration of a particular topic; format includes hands-on, interactive activities, e.g. mini lectures/discussions, small group activities, hands-on computer training, demonstrations, panel presentations, etc. One Hour Conference Sessions (Wed/Thurs, Dec. 8 & 9) up to 84 sessions divided into 12 tracks; tracks include: application development, business analysis, emerging technologies and trends, online government services, infrastructure, leadership and management, project/portfolio management, social media and more 2½ hour Conference Tutorials (Wed/Thurs, Dec. 8 & 9) compared to the one-hour sessions described above, tutorials offer the additional time needed to drill down and explore the topic in more depth Poster Displays (Thursday, Dec. 9) - informal opportunities that showcase projects, accomplishments, professional groups, resources, and more State-of-the-Art Exhibit Hall (Wed, Dec. 8) showcasing the latest technologies, products and services available to the public sector; opportunity to meet face-to-face with vendors to discuss individual concerns Click here to view the 2009 Government IT Symposium program |
