Decoding Unconscious Bias

In this session, you will be given a brief overview of unconscious bias and how it works. In small groups, you will discuss common workplace manifestations of bias, such as assuming an older employee does not want training or telling a soft-spoken person s/he is not a "natural leader." You will consider whether it is appropriate to intervene and review options for doing so when appropriate, such as asking a question while avoiding accusations.
