Tech Jam Debrief
Track: Got GaaS? (Government-as-a-Service)
Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Open data, the idea that public information should be accessible to the public online, is a hot topic and one that is here to stay. Some government agencies have institutionalized practices for making the data they collect publicly accessible, while other agencies are just starting to think about the types of data they have access to and if they should make it accessible. GTS Educational Events in partnership with Hennepin County and Ramsey County will host an Open Data Tech Jam, as part of the 2017 MN Government IT Symposium, on Tuesday, December 5, where these this topic will be explored.
Attendees will have the opportunity to share their open data stories, learn about the current the importance of open data and then break off into teams to create their own plans. Teams will produce white board ideas and recommendations for handling different open data scenarios.
Attend this follow up session to learn more about open data and the outcomes of Tuesday's technology jam.
