Closing the Cyber Security Gap
Track: Keep it Safe
Thursday, Dec. 7, 1:15 p.m. - 2:15 p.m.
The state of Utah reports that up to 300 million attempts a day on government systems occur throughout the state, up from only 25 to 80 thousand just a few years ago. Locally, Maj. Gen. Richard C. Nash of the Minnesota National Guard testified to the state legislature this year that what kept him up at night was "a future devastating cyber incident" that targeted not just data, but our critical infrastructure such as "our power grid, transportation, health systems" and other vital infrastructure. So what can local or state government IT do to combat these threats? In this session, you'll learn: - How to get a pulse on your organization's security health - How to identify cloud vendors who share your concern for security and invest in security - How to carry and share the burden of security across your agency and partnerships. Presented by Granicus.
